AFRICA UMOJA is a Proudly South African and world-acclaimed theatre production which symbolizes the Spirit of Togetherness in a two hour explosion of song and dance performed for Kings, Presidents and members of the public in over 50 cities worldwide.

The show tells the tale of South Africa, its people and their song. The journey starts from the earthy tribal dances of courtship and celebration, right through to the thumping rhythms of Kwaito. The audience is guided through various milestones linked together by the narrator, the lead character named ‘Hope’.
Marvel at the fury of the Traditional Zulu tribal dance, bone-tingling gospel singing, gumboot dancing and the chaotic Johannesburg shenanigans are but a few of the delights on offer.

AFRICA UMOJA was a concept created by Todd Twala and Thembi Nyndeni to keep underprivileged youth off the streets and give them a chance to live a dream. This dream has become a reality for many of the AFRICA UMOJA cast members over the years.
