Rhythm Colour commemorates the uprising by the youth of 1976 in protest against the imposition of Afrikaans as a medium of instruction. The imminent revolt erupted on June 16th, the day when some of the 20 000 Soweto students were faced with the dreaded paper during their mid-year exam. Rhythm Colour brings such memories to the fore in 2024 as an unquestionable tribute to all heroes and heroines of the struggle against apartheid thirty years into our democracy.
