IFPYB Gauteng hosts Miss IFP 2023 in honouring the legacy of their founding father, his excellency honourable prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the pageant will look at his contribution to South African politics and the Zulu kingdom.

We chose Soweto theatre because it is a cutting-edge amphitheatre with a rich historical background dating back to the early 1970s, leading up to the Soweto uprising of June 16, 1976, which marked a watershed moment in the anti-apartheid struggle.

The historical connection with the now-renovated Amphitheatre is well documented in the annals of South African history. The rally organised at the then Jabulani Amphitheatre in Soweto on March 14, 1976, and officially addressed by IFP President Emeritus, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, MP, was a watershed moment. The speech was aptly titled: “In this approaching hour of crisis: A message to South Africa from Black South Africa.” The venue is relevant to the “theme: Celebrating the Legacy Of prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi”. Contestants will be from all districts across the province.
