If you’re looking for an easy-going, relaxing scene, make sure you head to Soweto Theatre this Sunday 25th August for Seven Colour Sundays the best food market in The country hosted by the Soweto Art and Craft Development team, who are also the innovators behind the successful Soweto Arts and Craft Fair.
The Market takes place every last Sunday of the month from 12pm to 9pm, the event invites food makers to share mouth-watering dishes with the masses who grace the venue, so feast on the finest local cuisine. “It’s all about good food and good music and great people sharing beautiful family vibes at one of Soweto’s Premium venues.” Patrons are treated to a variety of original kasi foods like Gourmet Kota to African cuisine like Mogodu, Amanqina and to Prawns too (Just to mention a few).
Keeping to traditional home-cooked meal styles in African culture, plates are filled with various foods, decked out as they say in township lingo “seven colours.” Guests are treated to a chilled, relaxed environment with the sounds of lounge, acid jazz, deep house, as well as old school kwaito and hip hop providing a soundtrack for the mesmerizing experience.
