Mahlomola Kekana Foundation for Community Upliftment (MKFCU) hosted a successful Brown Dash Tribute music concert last year 30th September 2017 and the inaugural of Soweto the House of Kwaito on the 26 May 2018, as part of community upliftment, MKFCU is looking to regrow Kwaito music and to restore the legacy that has brought unity in diverse cultures within South Africa.

MKFCU in partnership with Soweto Theatre is proudly to present another musical event named “Soweto The House of Kwaito” sessions to occur last Saturday of June and July at Soweto Theatre. The purpose is to celebrate the inception of Kwaito music and give a spotlight to the young talented upcoming artist to shine and carry the legacy. This is to bring young South Africans into a united nation that was fragmented by the Apartheid boundaries.

The Soweto The House of Kwaito sessions will not only focus on musical session but seeks to tackle challenges that are faced by the upcoming artists and to break socio-economic boundaries. Workshops will be conducted to bring enlightenment about the music industry in South Africa and broadly.

The Soweto the House of Kwaito is happening again on the 30 June 2018 at the state of the art Soweto Theatre a world class facility in the heart of Soweto. The performances will feature new talented kwaito artists like GP Gangsta, residence award winning Kwaito DJ Fisha Fasha and Best Kwaito new comer Orlando Pantsula and many more
