A FATHERLESS SOCIETY

Bring Back Our Men consists of three (3) members; Phalenyane Madisakwane, Noxolo Msitshana and Mpumelelo Nomlomo who are all initially from Pimville. We got together because we had a common mindset in contributing towards change in our immediate community.
We are hosting an event called; “A Fatherless Society” which will be on the 17th June 2017 at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, Soweto from 11:30 (arrival and registration) – 5pm.
Topics of the day are around fatherhood, what it means to be a Father, what makes a father, what does a father mean to a child, relationships between fathers and their children, but specifically fathers and their sons. Having positive male role models in your life. This event will provide a platform for men to mend relationships, create a positive dialogue amongst men as well as to motivate them to build and sustain healthy male relationships with other positive male figures and other programmes. We have a collaborative relationships with various Men Organisations around Gauteng – Boys To Men – The Mankind Project, MOG – Men of God, CMT – Community Media Trust with the Stepping Stone Programme, which the attendees can connect with them and get support from them after the event has ended. This is an impactful event that will build our men, give them support and exposure to entrepreneurship opportunities and assistance. We aim to have male mentors.
Also, it’s important to celebrate the Father’s that do stay and bring up their children. We have eight (8) speakers that will address different facets of Fatherhood and sons and positive male figure roles in boy’s lives after the Theatre play.
Lunch will be served and we will have so much Fun!
CALLING ALL MEN AND BOYS TO ATTEND!
