The Soweto DJs’ Indaba is a community organisation founded to help DJs living in South Africa discuss their professional experiences and/or challenges in addition to gaining insight into sound business practices, money management, legal literacy and their constitutional rights from accomplished professionals in the game. As such, one of this forum’s highest priorities is investigating the working conditions of DJs and formulating recommendations targeted at bringing about positive change.
Soweto DJs’ Indaba in partnership with Soweto theatre will host this open dialog for all DJ’s to discuss the challenges of the industry, also use the platform for grievances to be tabled. There will be industry players from different spheres of the entertainment industry, sharing knowledge of issues that relate to DJ’ing and industry compliance. The Panel will consist of people who are working professionally in the industry, from Promoters, DJs, Producers, Social media, Radio, Tv and Others.
Entrance to this event is free but DJs have to register for them to be included on the list of the patrons for the day.
